It's already the 4th Day and I have spent less than Euro 20. Since all the tours and meals are included, I need only to spend for souvenirs, mostly.
Sometimes, travelers still have a difficulty understanding this concept. They think they are "saving" when in fact they lose both time and money for their trip. Though there is nothing wrong with the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) practitioners, but sometimes the "savings" is not commensurate to the "experience" you can optimize.
For example, today, we are at Versailles. Some people can spend more time lining up and going through the public places. But we, on our special tour, get to be VIPs and don't even waste time lining up. Also, we got to see parts of the Palace that is not open to the public. Most importantly, if one would arrange this private tour themselves, the rates would be so much higher and may not even be available at the time of your request.
Not that I want you to see Versailles from the pictures, but I am posting the photos that show you where the public is and where we were. Another would show that we are walking through staircases that are not used by most visitors. And lastly, that as we pass through each room, they really open and lock it to ensure that viewing of these areas are really limited.

Uniworld Cruise Joie De Vivre Day 3: The Christening
Let me tell you a bit about the owners of this company, which I think will help you understand the quality of their product. First of all, calling these as products is the wrong thing to say because I would rather say that they refer to this as their Passion. It is with love that they put together all of their different tour brands, including no less, the Uniworld Botique Cruises.
And as the Christening happened today, you will feel all the pride and love that they felt for this occasion. Mind you, even with the Christening, they happen to have squeezed some tours in the morning. This is a lot of organization for one day, you know.
(I took the exclusive Hermes Tour). On a personal note, I know how most wear these signature brands but I believe one should really know why these brands ascended to the level that they are at.
Back to the Christening. Just what a way to be so thoughtful of even where to celebrate this day, to be no less than between the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty, (or should I say between the symbol of progress and freedom).

I am truly humbled to be a part of this occasion and feel like a part of the family. And of course, I felt very lucky to also have had the chance to have a photo with an idol, Joan Collins. So, what a day indeed!
As I said before, I also don't want to spoil your surprises by putting a photo of each and every food and courses that were put before me. But here is a hint, I will show you the plate and silverware, and you can guess how sumptuous the food fare is.
Uniworld Cruise Joie De Vivre Day 2 Paris: Part 2
To start the experience on Uniworld, I would have to break my promise not to talk about the tour. But I just want to let everyone know how flexible the trip is. You can choose some tours that are on a bus, and really "ON A BUS". You can choose to be more active too by taking the Uniworld bike tours.
When you come back on the ship, just remember that there are other activities that you would also like to do. My favorite is staying on deck as we move along the river. (But of course, I take my laptop with me and do some work).
Uniworld Cruise Joie De Vivre Day 2: Paris Part 1
I may be thinking more about this than I should, but being in Paris and taking the Uniworld first sailing of the Joie De Vivre in the 70th Year of Philippine-France Friendship just makes this more meaningful for me.
At the same time, how I wish that the Philippines equally has promotions for French to visit our country, in the same way or even more than how France has been promoting the visit to their country along with havin...g multiple activities, which one can check out at http://www.ambafrance-ph.org/PhilFrance-Feel-French.
Back to my River Seine cruise, I love how Uniworld thinks of me and putting small elements that I just appreciate...including my need for connectivity and power.
They also have quite generous rooms and it doesn't get stuffy because you can lower the window in the room and raise the screen so no insects can get in!!! I love opening the window halfway at night, not just for the fresh air, but also for the sound of the water and nature makes me sleep better.

Cruising on Uniworld Joie De Vivre Day 1: Arrival
I'm going to jumpstart my Blog again after a very long hiatus. What a better way to do so by talking about Uniworld Boutique River Cruise and particularly being on the first sailing of the Joie De Vivre.
Unlike most blogs, I will not literally document every movement that we will go through because I think that will just spoil your experience, which should be unique to you once you decide to take this river cruise.

It's really almost worry-free, which is what I prefer should I be taking a vacation...everything pre-planned as much as possible. Importantly, I hate having to find my way out of the airport and commute. So this spacious transfer service greeted me and I was brought straight to the ship.
So really, I was taken to Paris and started my Joie De Vivre (Joy of Living). And onboard I went.
